In today’s fast-paced society, more and more of our Beverly Hills patients want to achieve a rejuvenated look without the downtime associated with traditional surgical procedures. Injectable fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®, Radiesse® and Sculptra® are an excellent option for patients with early to moderate signs of aging who may be looking for little “boost” to their appearance. In as little as 45 minutes, we can
- Soften your wrinkles and smile lines (nasolabial folds)
- Plump or augment your lips, and fill in lip lines
- Straighten your jawline
- Hide your jowls
- Augment your chin
- Fill the hollows under your eyes causing those dark circles
- Create more defined cheekbones while lifting the rest of the face
- Lift the eyebrows to look more awake
Xeomin
Like BOTOX® and Dysport®, Xeomin® uses botulinum toxin type A to block signals from the nerves to the muscles. When the nerves cannot communicate with the facial muscles, those muscles stop contracting, smoothing the dynamic lines and wrinkles that develop and deepen due to facial expressions.
However, Xeomin stands out among other neuromodulators through its unique, double-filtered formula that removes unnecessary proteins, purifying the injectable.
Why Does Xeomin’s Reduced Ingredient List Matter?
Often, patients who use products like Botox or Dysport for years become desensitized to the treatments, leading injections to become less effective. Since Xeomin does not contain any extra proteins, it reduces the likelihood of developing resistance to the injections.
How Does Xeomin Compare to Other Neuromodulators?
Xeomin and Botox are equally potent, so patients switching from Botox to Xeomin will use the same number of units for their treatment. Both Botox and Xeomin are three times more concentrated than Dysport.
While Dysport’s reduced concentration allows it to diffuse more easily and treat larger treatment areas, Xeomin’s consistency matches Botox, which is better suited for treating precise areas.
What Areas Can I Treat with Xeomin?
Xeomin is FDA-approved to treat horizontal forehead lines and the glabellar lines between the eyebrows.
Because Xeomin ceases the movement of targeted facial muscles, Xeomin treatments offer the added benefits of preventing new lines from forming and delaying current dynamic wrinkles from becoming permanent, static wrinkles.
